Malawi is known as the ‘’Warm Heart of Africa’’ because of the legendary welcome extended to all who visit. Exceptional natural scenery, towering mountains, fertile valleys and the crystal clear waters Lake Malawi with its white sandy beaches characterise this beautiful country. It is the perfect country to travel independently because of the ease of getting around and the huge variety of accommodations available to suit all travellers. It is also the perfect destination if you are looking for a beach and safari holiday as the country offers both. I found that Malawi is one of the best places in Africa for visitors to meet and interact with the local people or visit a rural community in an atmosphere totally devoid of expectation. Malawi is a warm and welcoming country that I always have a special place in my heart.
